For the past one week it was rainy and cloudy here. I was happy 😊 but this week it’s going to cross 90°😖. So as a precaution 😉 I’m going to try some juice and smoothie varieties. First in that is Raw mango ginger cooler with Coconut water.
As you all know that we are Mango lassi family. I have a various recipes using mango. You can check other mango recipes like Mango Pistachios Smoothie, Mango Juice, Sooji Mango Payasam to know my love towards mango.This season I see there is spree of mango recipes in blogging world. As it nick name says, Mango is indeed King of Fruits. I never see anyone hate mango. Usual scene here I see in this season is everyone carrying a bag of Mangoes from Indian stores.Every family have their own favorite mango dish, both sweet and savoury.
Coming to today’s recipe, it is a Raw mango Ginger cooler. I tried this for first time last week and instantly falled in love with it’s taste. When I gave this to my husband to try, he said” why can’t you make this in large amount and store”. That comment from him means it tasted exceptionally good. He never comments anything even when the dish is good. When he finishes his food without talking anything , I have to understand that food is good. I used to think ‘why these guys can’t be simple? Why can’t they tell it openly?’ Is every husbands are like this? I think we have to take a poll regarding this.( Let’s do that sometime later)
Let’s now discuss about the recipe. This is so simple with few ingredients. You will love this if you are a lover of raw mango like me. I made this with coconut water but you can add soda too. You can have this after a heavy meal. As we are adding ginger, this aids in digestion too. This hot season keep the heat at bay by consuming this cooler. I highly prefer to add coconut water but you add soda as your preference.
Raw mango – 1/4 cup peeled and chopped
Ginger – 1 inch piece
Sugar – 1 tbsn
Salt – a pinch
Water – 1 tbsn
Coconut water – 1/2 cup or as required
- Take all ingredients except coconut water in blender.
- Blend till smooth. Strain it in a bowl.
- Add coconut water as required.
- Serve chilled in a glass.
- I added coconut water but you can add soda too which ever you prefer.
- Add required water to blend the ingredients smooth and to strain it.
