Hi friends,how did the weekend go?I here come with our recently favorite dish – 5 Ingredients Oven Roasted Garlic Potato Wedges.Can you believe that with just 5 ingredients,you can make a great healthy,yummy and kid friendly snack?Yes,you need only 5 ingredients including potato.I know there will be no haters for potato.Right?This  is our favorite snack at tea time .Even kids are loving it.

I first time tried this when we were in Kentucky.I tried various timing of baking till I got the required crispiness.When tried first time this 5 ingredients Oven Roasted Garlic Potato wedges,I coated all wedges in garlic mixture. My kids didn’t like the garlic flavor.So from next time,I make two batches.If you have kids who don’t like garlic flavor ,you can also try two variations by just avoiding garlic in your kids wedges marination.

I use this for chopping garlic and other veggies or fruit in small quantity.I loved it.This works like a magic for me. This chopper chops finely without big effort.It is so easy to clean too.You can remove each part.So no fuss in cleaning.The knife is so sharp too that you can even chop nuts.

Always use Russet potatoes while making  this 5 ingredients Oven Roasted Garlic Potato Wedges.Russet potatoes will be big and thick.You will get nice texture after baking.I made this vegan as I used coconut oil for marination.You can use olive oil too but my preference was coconut oil as you all know my love for coconut and it’s products.You are always free to try out your choice of spices or herbs.I don’t like to complicate my dishes.Still I would like to try this dish with Italian herbs.Will let you know once I tried.What is your favorite style of making Potato wedges?Let me know in comments.

INGREDIENTS

Russet Potatoes – 2

Coconut oil – 2 tbsn

Garlic – 6 or 7 pods

Salt – as required

Pepper powder – as required

METHOD

  • Peel the potato skin and wash thoroughly.
  • Cut the potato into half in lengthwise.
  • Cut each half into half in lengthwise.If the thickness of the wedges are as you desired,you can marinate.If it’s still big again cut into half in lengthwise.
  • Wash it nicely to remove the starch and wipe it dry in kitchen towel or tissue.
  • Chop garlic pods in this chopper finely.
  • Mix coconut oil,garlic,salt and pepper to make a marinade.
  • Marinate potato wedges in the mixture and keep aside.
  • Meanwhile pre heat oven at 400 deg F.
  • After 10 minutes arrange marinated potato wedges without touching each other in foil lined baking tray and bake in pre heated oven for 40 minutes.
  • Serve warm with your favorite sauce.

NOTES

  1. You can bake potato wedges with the skin on.You have to just wash it thoroughly to remove any dirt.
  2. You can substitute olive oil for coconut oil.
  3. Adjust salt and pepper as per your taste.
  4. You can also increase or decrease garlic.
  5. If making for kids who don’t like garlic just avoid adding garlic in the marination.Follow other steps.
  6. Bake time may change depending on the oven.Keep an eye for the crispiness you needed for your wedges.

    These potato wedges look positively yummy! I’ve never “marinated” potatoes into an oil+herbs/spices before roasting them in the oven, I’m very intrigued by this method. I think it must infuse the wedges beautifully also allowing them to get a little crust as soon as they enter the hot over…Also I LOVE garlic so these are just up my alley ♥ thank you!
