Stuffed Bread Roll – with Samosa filling

This Vegetable stuffed Bread Roll is a perfect snack when you host a get together or to enjoy tea time for yourself.

Bread Roll

In my previous post I have shared about Easy Samosa Stuffing. If you haven’t been there check out that link to see how easy and versatile that stuffing is. I used that stuffing to create this. That makes it pretty much easy. Have some bread slices and the stuffing, you can make this bread roll in no time.

You can use white bread or whole wheat bread. The filling used here is vegetarian, you could also use chicken if you like. Make some bread rolls enjoy with a hot cup of tea along your friends. You will see these bread rolls are vanishing in no time.

How did I make Bread roll

Making a bread roll is pretty easy if you have the stuffing ready. Cut off the crusts, roll out, fill it with filling and roll back. Seal the edges with water. You can deep fry or shallow fry till crispy golden. Serve with ketchup.

METHOD

  • Remove the crusts from all sides of the bread.
  • Dip one side of the bread in little water.
  • Squeeze out all water as much as possible immediately.
  • Take a spoon of filling. Roll it into a log.
  • Place it at one side of the bread.
  • Roll it into a log and seal the sides.
  • Repeat it with other bread slices.
  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • When the oil is hot enough, fry  the bread rolls till golden.
  • Serve warm with ketchup.

NOTES

  1. I used whole wheat bread. But you can use white bread too.
  2. You can always feel free to improvise the stuffing.
  3. When you dip the bread in water, immediately squeeze water out. If not, the bread rolls will be oily.
  4. If you don’t prefer to dip in water, you can also roll out the bread slice with rolling pin. In that case, you have to seal the edges of the bread with water slightly after rolling.
  5. Serve warm.
