Baked Whole Wheat Methi Puri is one healthy snack you can have at tea time or during little chit chats.
Baked Whole Wheat Methi Puri
Honestly, I never had this Methi puri before. But when our FB group Healthy Wellthy Cuisine decided Healthy munchies for this fortnight theme, I decide to try something from the book I won from contest in Tarla Dalal site years ago.Ya, you heard it right. I used to post in India’s most renowned cook Tarla Dalal’s site before I started blog of my own. I participated in one of the online contests and to my surprise I won Tarla Dalal’s Healthy Snack Cookbook. But I didn’t try any recipe from it..Shame on me..right? Not anymore. This time I tried Baked Whole Wheat Methi Puri and more recipes from the book are on their way.

The Methi Puris are two types, the puffy fried one had as breakfast and the crispy ones had as a snack. I’m here posting the crispy snack variety. Usually they are deep fried but we are going to bake it as we are into healthy snacking..haha.
How did I make Baked Whole Wheat Methi Puri
As I said I adapted this recipe from Tarla Dalal’s book, I do adjusted and tweaked a bit for our taste preference. There is no hard part in making this except keeping your hands off the puris after made.
Just mix all ingredients in a bowl to a dough. Roll it out and cut it as you do for cookies. Then bake it till crispy that usually takes 18- 20 minutes depending upon the oven.Yummy, crispy, methi puris are ready to munch on. Once cooled down completely, store it in air tight container. If stored properly, will stay good for about 2 weeks.
