Why Sweet Potato Roti

Roti / Paratha are one of the staple food in North India. Rotis are usually made with Whole wheat flour. They are had with vegetable or Non Vegetarian curries. You can also use this as wraps with your favorite stuffing. These Rotis make a great choice for kids lunch boxes.

I made these Sweet Potato Roti as my way of making my kids to eat Sweet Potato.Though I love Sweet Potato, somehow my kids doesn’t like it. I felt, maybe I haven’t introduced that at their young age. So now, when I give them just boiled sweet potato as I used to have, they don’t like it.I just added that mashed boiled sweet potato to the make their favorite roti. Mom’s idea won. Tada Sweet Potato Roti worked.

How did I make Sweet Potato Roti

Making this Sweet Potato Roti is an easy thing. Have to pressure cook Sweet Potato. Add all ingredients in the food processor and pulse it in low speed to make it a non sticky dough.I used this food processor which makes my everyday job easy. Then make small balls out of it and roll. Then cook both sides of rolled roti. Delicious Sweet Potato Roti is ready to serve.
