Tutti Frutti Cake - Fool Proof Recipe

  • 3/4 Cup All Purpose Flour
  • 1 Tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/4 Cup Milk
  • 2 Tbsn Unsalted Butter
  • 3 Nos Eggs Room Temperature
  • 3 Nos Egg yolks Room Temperature
  • 3/4 Cup Sugar
  • 1 Tsp Orange Zest
  • 1/4 Cup Tutti Frutti


  • Pre heat the oven to 350 deg F. Grease and flour 9 inch cake pan.
  • Combine the flour and baking powder in a large bowl and set aside.
  • Heat the milk and butter in a saucepan in low heat. When the butter melts remove from the heat and add orange zest. Keep aside.
  • Beat egg yolks, whole eggs and sugar in a large bowl using hand mixer or stand mixer on  high speed for 3 minutes till the mixture increase in volume and thickens.
  • Lower the mixer speed and add flour mixture slowly little by little.
  • When the flour fully incorporated, the mixture will be thick.
  • Add the milk, butter and orange zest mixture slowly to flour mixture. Mix with the spatula till fully blended.
    Add tutti frutti and mix.
  • Pour the batter to greased pan and bake in preheated oven for 22 - 25 minutes or till when the inserted tooth pick comes out clean.
  • When the cake cools down,run a knife around and turn the pan upside down to a plate.
    Cut and serve.
