Mix all ingredients except plantain and oil to a batter. It should be of pancake batter consistency.
Peel the plantain, cut into half or three pieces depending the size of the plantain.
Slice into thin strips in lengthwise. Each piece should yield at least four strips.
Heat oil in a pan. When the oil is hot enough ( not smoking hot) let the burner be in medium.
Dip each plantain strips in batter and deep fry till golden.
Drain it in paper towel.Serve warm with a cup of tea.
