Stained Glass Cookies
These Stained Glass Cookies are perfect to bake for any occasion and it is so versatile that you can make it in any shape you want regarding the occasion you bake. I here made it in heart shape for the upcoming Valentine’s day.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 Cup All-purpose flour
- 1/2 Cup Unsalted Butter Softened
- 1/2 Cup Sugar
- 1/2 Tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 Egg Room temperature
- 8 Hard Candies/ Lollipops
Instructions
- Beat softened butter and sugar in high for two minutes. Then add an egg.
- Set the beater to low and beat for a minute.
- Add vanilla extract and start adding the flour slowly while beating at low speed till all the flour blended.
- Place the dough in a flour-dusted board or countertop and bring it to one mass with your hands.
- Make it rectangular and cover it with a cling sheet. Refrigerate this dough for at least 1 hour to 1 day.
- After an hour, remove the dough from the refrigerator and place it on the board.
- Divide the dough into half. Cover one half of the dough and place it in the refrigerator again.
- Roll the other half to ½ inch thickness.
- Use 4-inch heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut the cookies out of the rolled dough.
- Place these cut out cookies in the parchment paper laid baking tray.
- Then use your 2-inch heart-shaped cookie cutter and cut out the middle part.
- Place this tray in the refrigerator for 10 minutes.
- In the meantime, preheat the oven to 350 Deg F.
- Crush your hard candies using your rolling pin. I used hard lollies to make stained glass.
- Take the tray out of the refrigerator and fill half of the middle part of each cookie with crushed hard candies. Make sure not to overfill.
- Then bake in preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
- When it is done, let it stay in the tray for a minute and then move to a cooling rack.
- When completely cooled, store it in an airtight container.

- The number of cookies may differ depending on the size of the cookie cutter you use.
- You can refrigerate the cookie day for 1 day in the refrigerator and up to 3 months in the freezer.
