Instructions
Start from making the sugar syrup. Take sugar and water in a deep pan.
Heat it till the sugar dissolves. Add a tsp of lemon juice and crushed cardamom.
Remove from the heat.
Now take the bread slices and trim off the sides.
Dip the bread slice in the milk and quickly squeeze the bread slice in between your palm to remove the extra milk. Place it in a bowl.
Repeat the same with other bread slices.
Now mash the milk dipped bread slices with your hands to make a smooth dough.
Make small balls from this dough.
Heat oil in a pan.
When the oil is hot, reduce the heat and deep fry the dough balls in medium flame till it turns golden.
Once it turns golden, remove it from oil using a slotted spoon and soak in sugar syrup.
Let the jamuns soak for 1 to 2 hours.
Serve warm or cold.

Do not dip the bread slices in milk for too long.
Just dip it for few seconds and squeeze. The jamuns should be fried in medium flame. So that the jamuns will be cooked inside out.
Flip the jamuns gently while frying for even cooking.
