Fruit Custard

Fruit custard is a chilled custard base mixed with seasonal fruits. Custard is usually made with cream, milk, and eggs as a base. Nowadays you can make this easier with the store-bought custard powder. The process starts with making custard. Then chill the custard in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours. Add chopped seasonal fruits to it while serving. This is a perfect treat to serve crowds.

Method

Take ¼ cup of milk and mix the custard powder without any lumps. Heat the remaining milk along with sugar in a heavy-bottomed pot. When it starts to warm up, add the custard powder mixed milk to and whisk it simultaneously. Stir the milk until the custard starts to thicken. Remove the custard from the heat. Once it is cooled down, cover it with a cling sheet so the layer is not formed on the custard. Refrigerate the custard to chill for at least 2 hours.
