The cold days look never-ending. So instead of complaining about the weather, I decided to enjoy that by making some Easy Air fried Chicken breast.

Easy Air Fried Chicken Breasts in 6 Minutes

My kids love to eat chicken. Every day when I pick them up from school, their question to me is ‘ Do we have chicken to eat at home?’ I usually make it just once a week. But still, they ask the same question. So one day when the day is too cold I decided to make chicken strips for my kid’s after-school snack.

I had some Chicken breast tenders. I decided to air fry it as I love my new Air fryer. And also I don’t reuse the oil. So air frying is the best option to save oil and money. The air-fried chicken breasts came so crispy. It is crispy outside and tenders inside.

Indian Masala Marinated Air Fried Chicken

I used the normal Indian masala like red chili powder, turmeric powder garam masala along with a spoon of yogurt for the marination of the chicken. I also added some red chili powder and other spices to the flour I used for dipping.

How to make Easy Air fried Chicken Breasts in 6 minutes?

Yes, you read it right. You can make these Easy Air fried Chicken breasts in 6 minutes. Still, the chicken was cooked perfectly. The time may vary depending on the air fryer and the size of the chicken breasts. I slit half lengthwise the boneless chicken breast, I got from the shop. I marinated it with spices and kept covered for 30 minutes.

Then dip in the spice-mixed flour, egg, and then in bread crumbs. Brush the strips with oil and air fry in pre heated air fryer for 6 minutes. Do not forget to flip in half-time. You can air fry for one or two more minutes but make sure not to overcook the chicken.

Air-fried chicken breasts recipe

Ingredients

Chicken breast tenders – 6 pieces

Oil – 1 Tsp

To marinate 

Turmeric Powder – 1/2 tsp

Red Chili Powder – 1 tsp

Garam Masala – 1/2 tsp

Cumin Powder – 1/2 tsp

Yogurt – 1/2 tsp

Salt – as required

For breading

Whole wheat flour – 1/2 cup

Red chili powder – 1/4 tsp

Garam Masala – 1/4 tsp

Salt – a pinch

Egg – 1

Bread crumbs – 1 cup

Method

  • Slit the chicken tenders lengthwise. So you will get a total of 12 pieces of chicken strips.
  • Marinate with the ingredients under ‘to marinate’ and keep it aside for 30 minutes.
  • Take whole wheat flour mixed with red chili powder, garam masala, and salt on a wide plate.
  • Beat an egg in a bowl. Keep aside.
  • Take bread crumbs on a wide plate.
  • Preheat the air fryer at 400 Deg F for 5 minutes.
  • Take a marinated chicken strip. Dip in spice-mixed flour, then in egg and in bread crumbs.
  • Repeat this step with all strips.
  • Brush each chicken strip with oil and air fry in the preheated air fryer for 6 minutes. Flip the strips in 4 minutes.
  • Place just four strips in one batch. Do not overcrowd.
  • Serve warm.

Notes

  1. Preheating the air fryer is a must. So do not skip this step.
  2. Keeping the marinated chicken for 30 minutes will help the spices coated in chicken.
  3. The of cooking chicken varies depending on the air fryer and the size of the chicken.
  4. This Easy Air fried Chicken Breast makes a great snack for kids. You can also serve this as a side along with great salads.
