Beetroot Halwa

Halwa is one dessert every Indian craves (I believe). Most of them think it’s difficult to make. But it’s a taboo until we try. There are different types of Halwa and here I give you the recipe of Beetroot Halwa. Considering the health benefits of beetroot, this will be one apt sweet to give kids.

Health benefits of Beetroot

Beetroots have many nutrients. It helps you to keep your blood pressure in check. It may also help you fight Inflammation. With the health benefits it has, there is no reason to avoid this awesome vegetable in your diet.

How to make Beetroot Halwa

This Beetroot halwa needs the minimum basic ingredients we have in our pantry. Beetroot, milk, and sugar. Ghee or clarified butter is used to give richness to the taste and you can add chopped nuts if you prefer. But I highly recommend giving a nice crunch. Heat milk in a heavy-bottomed wide pan. When it starts to boil, add grated beetroot. Once it is cooked add sugar and then the ghee. Once it reaches the consistency, add ghee-fried chopped nuts. Serve warm for the best taste.
