You would have heard Sambar idli, Sambar vada, but have you ever heard Sambar dosa? Even I haven’t heard it till my marriage. This is my MIL’s recipe which is my husband’s favorite. I have already posted Tiffan sambar( nodal), whenever we make this sambar, Sambar dosa is a must in our home.

Recipe for Sambar Dosa
Ingredients
Dosa batter – 1 big ladle per dosa
Tiffin sambar – 1 or 2 small ladles per dosa
Oil – to drizzle
Method
- Heat Tawa spread dosa batter to a dosa ( not very thin). Drizzle oil.
- When one side is cooked, flip it. Let it be for a few seconds.
- Flip again and spread 1 or 2 ladles of sambar.
- Let it be for a minute. Fold carefully.
- Serve warm.


Notes
- Use the sambar as per your requirement. Do not pour it too much.
- Let the dosa stay on hot Tawa for a minute after pouring the sambar on it.
- The dosa should be thick, if not it may tear up when you try to remove it to a plate.
