There are various chutneys made in our kitchen and this Coriander chutney is my favorite.

Coriander Chutney
Coriander/ Cilantro leaves are very rich in antioxidants and fiber which reduces your bad cholesterol. So include this herb in your diet in all possible ways. So here is the delicious coriander chutney you can have. It is a simple but yummy chutney to have with idli, dosa or with rice.
How to make coriander chutney
You need just the basic ingredients from your pantry to make this chutney. Saute all ingredients in a pan and blend it in a blender along with required salt and approximately ¼ cup water. Serve with Idli or Dosa.

Chana Dal
Cilantro/ Coriander leaves
Green chili
Garlic
Tamarind
Coconut

Recipe to make cilantro dip
Ingredients
Coriander/ Cilantro leaves – 1/2 cup packed
Chana dal – 2 tbsp
Green chili – 1 or 2
Garlic – 1 or 2 pod
Coconut – 3 tbsp grated
Tamarind – a small piece
Salt – as required
Oil – 2 tsp
Method
- Heat oil in a pan and sauté tamarind, chili, garlic, and chana dal.
- When channa dal gets brown add coconut and stir for 2 minutes.
- Add coriander leaves and sauté for a minute.
- Switch off and let it cool down.
- Grind along with the required salt and water to your required consistency.
- Serve along with idli, dosa, or rice.

Notes
- You can grind it as smooth or coarse as you like to have.

- 1/2 Cup Coriander/ Cilantro leaves packed
- 2 Tbsp Chana dal
- 2 Green chili
- 2 Garlic
- 3 Tbsp Coconut grated
- Tamarind a small piece
- Salt as required
- 2 Tsp Oil
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan and sauté tamarind, chili, garlic, and chana dal.
- When channa dal gets brown add coconut and stir for 2 minutes.
- Add coriander leaves and sauté for a minute.
- Switch off and let it cool down.
- Grind along with required salt and water to your required consistency.
- Serve along with idli, dosa or rice.
