Cooling accompaniment – Onion raita

Onion Raita

This is such a simple raita to have along with some yummy biryani. Raw onions are good for digestion. This is no cook accompaniment and you can make it in no time. Make sure the yogurt you use is not sour and it should be thick and creamy. This yogurt-based raita cools down the heat of the main dish. There are lots of different types of raita you can try.

You can also add the tempering to the raita for a nutty taste. Heat oil, add mustard seeds and curry leaves. Once the mustard seeds splutter, pour them on the raita.
