Cauliflower Capsicum stir fry

As I said, this is so easy to make and can be used as a side dish or filling. The ingredients can be customized which I have given in the variation. I love to have it along with sambar and rice.

How to make

When I say chop cauliflower thinly, break the florets and cut them into half. If it is big, floret cut it into three lengthwise. Heat a heavy-bottomed pan and add oil. Saute onion and ginger garlic paste till the raw smell goes. Add the spice powders and let the raw smell go. Add cauliflower florets and mix it. Do not cover it as the cauliflower becomes soggy. When the cauliflower is cooked halfway, add the thinly sliced capsicum. Mix it and let it cook till the cauliflower becomes soft. Add the required salt. Serve with rice or roti.

Variations

  1. Instead of cauliflower, you can add potatoes.
  2. Add green peas for cauliflower. If using fresh green peas add directly, if dried then soak overnight and cook it separately before starting these steps.
