Cucumber raita is a refreshing and creamy yogurt-based side dish popular in Indian cuisine. Made with grated or finely chopped cucumber, whisked yogurt, and a blend of aromatic spices.

A bowl of cooling cucumber raita with sprinkle of cumin powder.

Cucumber Raita

Cucumber raita serves as a cooling accompaniment to spicy dishes like biryani, pulao, or curries. Often garnished with fresh herbs like cilantro or mint, this raita enhances the flavors of a meal and also helps digestion. Its light and soothing texture makes it a perfect addition to warm-weather meals, offering a balance of taste and nutrition.
