Easy chicken wrap — juicy spiced chicken, crisp veggies, and a creamy spread, all rolled up in a soft wrap — ready in just 20 minutes. This is one of those recipes I make on repeat when I need lunch or dinner on the table fast, and it’s endlessly customizable, so everyone in the family gets a wrap they actually want to eat.
Why You’ll Love This Recipe
Easy chicken wrap
I can’t say enough how easy these chicken wraps are to make. If you are going to use store-bought tortillas for this wrap, then it takes just 20 minutes from start to end.
How to make chicken wrap
The chicken is cooked with simple basic spices. Then arrange the chicken inside the cooked roti or tortillas. You can add veggies of your choice. I chose lettuce, onion, and cucumber. Spread the sauce. My choice was cucumber ranch which my kids loved a lot. Wrap the rotis to make wrap and devour this delicious dish. I already made this twice in a week. So you can guess how yummy this wrap is.
What part of chicken to use for wrap?
Always choose chicken thighs for wraps or rolls — the thigh is tastier and juicier than breast meat, and stays moist even after a quick high-heat cook.
What you’ll need for this recipe:
- Chicken — thighs, as above, for the best texture.
- Garam Masala — a spice blend widely used in Indian cooking; it lifts the flavor of almost any dish.
- Cumin Powder — adds a warm, earthy note. No cumin powder on hand? Roast whole cumin seeds and grind them fresh.

Make it your own with homemade roti
If you have a bit more time, homemade roti takes this wrap up a notch. I’ve made this with Sweet Potato Roti, Carrot Chapathi/Roti, and Palak/Spinach Chapathi/Roti — all delicious, all worth trying. Store-bought tortillas work great too, and keep the whole recipe to 20 minutes start to finish.
FAQ
Can I use chicken breast instead of thighs?
Yes, though thighs stay juicier. If using breast, watch the cook time closely so it doesn’t dry out.
Can I make the chicken ahead of time?
Yes — cook the chicken filling up to 3 days ahead and store in the fridge. Reheat and assemble the wrap fresh.
What can I use instead of Cucumber Ranch?
Try a yogurt-mint sauce, plain hummus, or a garlic mayo for a different flavor direction.
