Do you like clean, easy to peel, perfect hard-boiled eggs like me? Then let’s learn how to make Instant pot Hard-boiled eggs.

Eggs – A protein-packed food
Do you know that eggs have high-quality protein? Having an egg in the breakfast gives you mental and physical energy for the rest of the day. They have zero carbs and no sugar. So it is good for any age group of people. The choline in the egg yolk promotes normal cell activity and transports nutrients to other parts of the body. It is also a key ingredient in the development of an infant’s memory functions. ( fact source – here )
We are big egg lovers. We have an egg in any one form daily. So cooking eggs is not new to me. I love to give boiled eggs to my kids in their school snack boxes or after their swim class.

Why Instant Pot Hard-boiled Egg?
So, as I said I love to give hard-boiled eggs, earlier I used to cook eggs on a stovetop. But each time, peeling the eggs will be a task. I have tried many tricks, adding salt to the cooking water, and adding the cooked eggs to cold water for a few minutes. But each time, I don’t get clean, peeled eggs. Sometimes the eggs might not be fully cooked.

So when I got an Instant Pot, I tried to cook in it. I was skeptical initially. Once I saw how easy it is and how perfectly the eggs are cooked, I never went back to the stovetop again. I boil eggs while cooking rice or making curry in Instant Pot. Just stack the eggs in the steaming rack and place them above the rice or curry. When the dish is done, the eggs will be also perfectly cooked.

Advantage of cooking eggs in an Instant Pot
The advantage of cooking eggs in an Instant Pot is, that you can adjust the time as per your preference of yolk you need. If you like hard-boiled eggs like me cook for 6 minutes and let it for natural release. For medium-boiled eggs, then cook for 4 minutes. If you prefer soft-boiled eggs, then cook for 3 minutes.

How to cook eggs in an Instant Pot?
Cooking eggs is not rocket science as I initially thought. Pour a cup of water into the inner pot. Keep the steamer rack. Stack the eggs you want. I added 4 eggs but you can add as much you need. But be careful not to break it. Close the lid. Make sure the release knob is in the correct position. Press the manual button and adjust the cooking time to 6 minutes. Then press start.
Once it is done, let the pressure release naturally. Then open the lid and place the eggs in cold water or water with ice cubes. Let it stay for 3 – 4 minutes. Then peel it like a pro. Have the boiled eggs as such or use them in your favorite dish.

How clean are those eggs. Certainly a breeze to peel. I usually don’t have a problem with peeling them as long as I run them under cold water immediately after cooking, but sometimes I do. Not sure why it differs.
But for me even I dropped in cold water, the stovetop eggs were not successful for me. But this is perfect every time. Hope this post helps.
