Kashmiri Chicken Curry
Kashmiri Chicken Curry, as the name suggests is the native of Kashmir, a State in India. It has a whole lot of spices and flavors to keep you comfortable in the cold days. It is a creamy curry which you can customize. Keep the base curry and you can add any veggie or any meat. It is mostly served with flatbread or rice.
Can you believe that I made this Kashmiri Chicken Curry in less than 30 minutes? Wondering how? Read ahead.
MK Fine Indian Foods
If you were wondering how I make this creamy curry within 30 minutes, here is the secret. I used Kashmiri Curry Shelf stable Sauce from Maya Kaimal(MK) Fine Indian Foods. They have a wide range of products including Everyday dals which you can just reheat and have.
The shelf-stable sauces are so versatile to customize the way you want. It is enough to serve for 4 people. I also tried their everyday dal which is good enough for 2 adults. The sauces and dal they sent me were mild, so it was perfect for our kids though we would like to try spicy for ourselves. So if you want to try it for just adults, feel free to add some spice.
How to make Kashmiri chicken curry
So I started with cutting and chopping onions, tomato, ginger, and garlic. With the MK foods simmering sauce in hand, it’s a breeze to make this Kashmiri Chicken Curry. Just cook the cubed chicken in the Kashmiri curry simmering sauce. That’s it. Creamy, delicious Kashmiri Chicken Curry ready to serve. Serve it with Sweet Potato Roti, Carrot Chapathi, Spinach Chapathi, or Vegetable Pulao.
As I said the sauces I received were mild, so I added 1/4 tsp chili powder. I didn’t change anything else. It was perfect for our taste. Kids have liked the plate.
Can I substitute chicken?
Absolutely. You can add lamb, goat, mushrooms, cauliflower, potatoes, chickpeas, or eggs.
