This is an accidentally innovated recipe? Actually, when I started cutting mango make juice, I found it does not fully ripen. So I thought of making something else. As I had prepared biriyani for lunch that day, I decided to make mango raita. Isn’t it interesting?

Mango Raita

Mango raita is an easy side dish to any biryani. This has a little sweet and sour taste. I like grating the mango but you can puree too.

How to make mango raita

Take all the ingredients and mix them. That’s it so easy. The yogurt should not be too sour. Serve with Mushroom biryani, Vegetable biryani, Fried Chicken Biryani.

Ingredients

Mango ( half riped) – 1/4 cup grated

Thick curd/ Yogurt – 1/2 cup

Jeera powder – 1 tsp

Salt – as required

Method

  • Mix all ingredients in a bowl and serve with biriyani.

Notes

  1. You can add a finely chopped green chili if you like.
  2. Half-riped mango is preferred. It gives nice crunchy and sweetness.
