This is one foolproof Tutti Frutti Cake that brushes your memories and brings back that old bakery-style cake taste. This cake is so light, airy, soft. You can’t stop with one slice.

Tutti Frutti Cake – Bakery Style

We all would have tasted that Tutti Frutti cake from the glass box in a bakery or tea shop. How much you eat, still would crave for some. When I first tried this cake, I had the same feeling. Even my husband said the same. Till now I baked this number of times and each time the taste never disappointed me.

So spongy tutti frutti cake.

I have tried with tutti frutti and even without it. Both were great. For those of my friends not aware of Tutti Frutti, they are actually candied fruits usually made of raw papaya. You can easily get this at any Indian store.

How to make Tutti Frutti Cake

I got this book sometime before and was totally satisfied with the recipes it has. The basic content of that book is you have one foolproof cake recipe and you can make one hundred desserts with that basic cake. I’m sure you will really enjoy that. You can see more recipes from that book in the near future.

I followed the basic cake recipe with a little tweak from that book and added tutti frutti to it. And the result is my good old bakery-style cake. Happy me and happy family.

The making of the cake is slightly different for me compared to others. The butter and milk are boiled till the butter is melted and added to the egg, sugar, and flour mixture. Then bake till done.

Healthy Whole Wheat Butter Cookies – I give you a healthy version of butter cookies. It is crumbly and delicious.

Whole Wheat Mango Cake – This is the most popular cake in my family. The sweetness is mild, the way we liked it.

Grape cake – Simple ingredients and easy-to-follow steps resulted in an amazing, crumbly cake with juicy grapes in between.

Ice cream Cake – When I say Ice cream cake, it’s not the usual Ice cream sandwiched Cake. It is a cake baked using Ice cream.

I’ve always loved the word tutti fruitti. It has always made me giggle when I’ve read it. I love how simple your recipe is and how you describe it as just a plain cake with some tutti fruitti. Thank you for that!
