Gelatin-free Watermelon Jelly—a perfect treat for your kids this summer. This recipe calls for basic two ingredients and no special equipment needed. The hard part is the waiting time for the jelly to set. Once it is done just pop it in your mouth and enjoy the jellicious (is it even a word..lol) watermelon.

Watermelon Jelly
I love watermelon. I just love it so much, when I thought about what fun recipe I could make with it, this jelly idea came upon. When you love jelly and don’t want store-bought jellies filled with preservatives and artificial color, I recommend you try this gelatin-free watermelon jelly. These are kids’ favorites, aside from coconut water jelly, mango jelly, and beetroot jelly.
How to make watermelon jelly
Ingredients used

Method
Deseed the watermelon. Blend watermelon cubes to puree. Add sugar if you think watermelon is less sweet. In a bowl, add water and agar agar strands. On the stovetop, stir this syrup till agar agar dissolves. Once it has dissolved, add the puree, mix well, and turn off the flame. Pour the mixture into a baking tray or mold. You can strain the mixture while pouring into the molds if you prefer, but I did not. Keep it in the refrigerator for at least six hours or till set. Cut into small pieces and serve.
What is agar-agar
Agar-Agar, a type of seaweed, is a vegetarian substitute for gelatin. So those who are vegan or vegetarian and do not use gelatin can use agar-agar instead. You can get agar-agar as strands, granules, bars, and flakes. It is also known as China grass. It is widely used as a thickener for soups, ice cream, desserts, or fruit preservatives.

I’m sorry I didn’t understand your question. If you are asking if you can bake this in waterbath, this jelly needs no baking. Just mix and let it set. Hope this helps.
